- PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNC) delivers both solid top and bottom line growth for the first half 2007. Revenue and operating income were up 58% and 100%, to Rp 1,308 billion and Rp 403 billion, compared to Rp 828 billion and Rp 201 billion respectively on the same period last year. While net profit and EBITDA surged to Rp 191 billion and Rp 458 billion, equivalent to an increase of 43% and 92% respectively, compared to the same period last year. EBITDA margin for first half 2007 also increases to 35% from 29% in the same period last year.
- Advertising revenue, which comprises of advertising in TV and Non-TV, shows 53% YoY growth. While Non-advertising revenue, which includes content, value added services (VAS) and others, is growing at faster rate of 106% YoY. Non-advertising revenue primarily increased due to content revenue, which sees growth more than 1000% YoY.
- MNC had completed its IPO on 22nd June 2007, right on schedule and had raised approximately Rp 2,475 billion. All other corporate intiatives are also on track, including capex and expansion plans. Approximately 76% of the proceeds from IPO will be used to expand MNC's media businesses, amongst others, through strategic acquisitions.
- According to Hary Tanoesoedibjo, Group CEO of MNC, said "Adspend is normally higher in second half. Coupled with revenues from new businesses, we expect a strong growth for PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk in 2007".
