2010 GREATEST MOMENTS ON INDONESIA’S NO.1 TV STATION

RCTI and GlobalTV - Licensed Broadcasters of 2010 FIFA World Cup

180 million Indonesian TV viewers will be exhilarated by a series of programs – themed The Greatest Moments - leading to the 2010 FIFA World Cup matches, the pinnacle of all sports events, to be broadcasted on Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI), Indonesia’s terrestrial leading TV station, and its sister station, GlobalTV.
 
Reaching 80% of Indonesia’s 230-million population via 48 transmitters nationwide, RCTI and GlobalTV are top-of-mind viewers’ choice for a wide range of  high-quality entertainment and sports programs, resulting in a consistent leading audience share of 30% amongst 10 terrestrial channels. In the last 20 years, RCTI has broadcasted numerous world class sports events, including World Cup (1998 and 2002), Euro Cup (from 1996 through 2008),  and Champion’s League. Global TV has also broadcasted various prestigious championships, such as Italian Serie A.
 
The FIFA World Cup Final Draw will kick start the series of creatively packaged programs leading to the matches in June 2010. This will then be followed by a reality show in search of local hosts/commentators for 2010 FIFA World Cup programs on Global TV, coupled with high frequency airing of FIFA World Cup highlight clips featuring various content including FIFA World Cup top moments, which will run from December 2009 thru May 2010 on both stations.
 
On top of that, RCTI will use it’s nationwide top-rated Dahsyat brand of music and entertainment show and feature a monthly 3-hour variety show titled Dahsyat FIFA World Cup from January to May 2010, to further hype up and expand the viewership the 2010 World Cup to the non-football fans.

From end March to early June before the 2010 matches begin, RCTI will be broadcasting FIFA World Cup 1996-2006 Finals and Global TV will simultaneously boost the fever further by airing FIFA World Cup Classic Matches. The journey of the 32 teams participating in 2010 FIFA World Cup will also be featured in Road to 2010 FIFA World Cup, a weekly 1-hour program starting from April to end of May 2010.

June 11th 2010 – the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup will be brought live to viewers nationwide live primetime, with the opening match being simulcasted on RCTI and Global TV. In the group stage, RCTI will be airing 29 matches live and Global TV 18 matches. The exciting 12 matches from round-of-16 and semifinals will be aired live on RCTI, and the semifinals and finals will be simulcasted on both stations.

Throughout all this, RCTI and Global TV will be heavily supporting the 2010 FIFA World Cup with on-air promotions of all the programs and also off-air promotional events in key café’s, shopping malls, campuses in major cities.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup, broadcasted on RCTI and Global TV, will truly be a series of greatest moments for the Indonesian masses.
