26th Anniversary, MNCTV Distribute 3.065 Free Glasses for Kids

JAKARTA - At least there are 272 kids gathering around at Uswatun Hasanah Course at Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Thursday (9/11/2017). They are waiting to be check by MNC TV and Essilor team whether they need to wear glasses or not. One by one the kids are going to the check desk and receive the prescription to be exchanged for glasses given for free. Until 14.00, 166 kids stated need to wear minus glasses.

The eyes check-up and glasses distribution at Uswatun Hasanah Course is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity and it is the last activity from the sixth same activity held by MNC TV at 6 different location at Jakarta on celebrating the 26th Anniversary of MNC TV.

Previously, 8th October 2017, MNC TV held this activity at Car Free Day location on Jendral Sudirman Street with participants 3500 kids and 2300 kids stated need to wear minus glasses.

As always, on every anniversary celebration, MNC TV didn’t just hold various of the entertaining program, but also CSR program. One of them is free eyes check up and free glasses distribution cooperate with Essilor, the biggest glasses lenses producer in Indonesia.

On this 2017, the main target is the kids on 6 different location, which are Car Free Day (8/10/2017), around MNC TV-MNC Studios office at West Jakarta (17/10/2017), Penjaringan  Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) (19/10/2017), Pulo Indah Penggilingan Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) (26/10), Kebon Sirih Integrated Child-Friendly Public Space (RPTRA) (4/11/2017), and the last is Uswatun Hasanah Course West Jakarta (9/11/2017).

Until the sixth activity on West Jakarta, 4971 kids have been reached and 3065 kids have received free glasses. The kids are so enthusiast on participating this event. But after 2 years held this event, the data shows that more children need a glasses.

“This is a part of MNC TV 26th Anniversary. Through the free eyes check-up and free glasses distribution for the kids that in need, MNC TV also wanted to get close and become “useful” not just for audiences, but for kids which is the legacy of this nation,” stated by MNC TV President Director Sang Nyoman Suwisma.
