JAKARTA - PT MNC Investama Tbk (“BHIT”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) that was held on MNC Conference Hall 3rd floor iNews Tower, Jl. Kebon Sirih No. 21-27, Jakarta.
The MoU was signed by President Director of BHIT, Darma Putra and President & CEO of TAITRA, Walter M.S. Yeh, and witnessed by Chairman of MNC Group, Mr. Hary Tanoesoedibjo, accompanied by the Company’s Board of Directors and Chairman of TAITRA, Mr. James C.F. Huang.
Chairman of MNC Group, Mr. Hary Tanoesoedibjo stated that the cooperation will provide many benefit, also for the people of Indonesia.
“I expect the cooperation will provide many benefit not only for MNC Group and TAITRA but also for the people of Indonesia. MNC Group, which is well-known as the largest and most integrated Media Group in South-East Asia, will accelerate rapid expansion of distributions network and broaden the potential strategic partnership with various companies in Taiwan in order to achieve BHIT’s goal as a modern and integrated company.” Hary said in iNews Tower, Jakarta, Friday (30/3).
This cooperation will optimize business potential in MNC Group’s units and become a competitive business development.
“We will optimize the cooperation by consolidating the line of businesses of BHIT’s business units, thereby creating a competitive potential business and adding values to each party”, he added.
On the same occasion, Mr. James Huang explained that the visit to Indonesia collectively is to directly view the image of Indonesia with a commitment to establish regional cooperation. Whereas the visit to MNC Group was focused on exploring various potential business cooperation, in the form of direct investment or other business cooperation that will be mutually beneficial in the future.
The signing of MoU between MNC Group and TAIRA constitutes an initial strategic step to cover the business collaboration going forward between Taiwanese companies and MNC Group business units, which can be advantageous for both parties based on the intention to be mutually beneficial.
The forms of collaboration that could be conducted among others are fund placement, project financing, joint-ventures and other forms of cooperation that would increase business prospect in the future. Moving-forward, the benefit of the collaboration is also expected to contributes either directly or indirectly for the economy of each party’s countries.
The Taiwan Delegation led by Chairman TAITRA, Mr. James Huang, visiting the Company’s head office and several Companies’ operation area among others MNC Studio in Kebon Jeruk, iNews Studio and MNC Financial Center in Kebon Sirih, Jakarta as well as MNC Lido City development project in Lido Sukabumi.
