KORAN SINDO and SINDOnews Commitment to Preserve Indonesian Culture

JAKARTA - KORAN SINDO and SINDOnews as a media committed to preserve Indonesia's cultural heritage. One of them through Cinta Kebaya Nusantara event as part of the commemoration of Kartini Day which falls on 21 April.

"This is a very important event because we want to preserve kebaya as Indonesia’s fashion icon so that Indonesia will become more famous in the world. So that, Sindo wants to give positive impression and movement," said CEO of KORAN SINDO and SINDOnews Sururi Alfaruq when opening Cinta Kebaya Nusantara event at Four Season Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (5/10/2017).

Furthermore, Sururi explained that kebaya which is characteristic of woman to support the Indonesian economy. Moreover, many kebaya products are exported to abroad.

"Kebaya Nusantara products are very much so that Indonesia's economy can grow and increase fashion exports," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Kebaya Nusantara Foundation Nunun Drajutun said Indonesian women have improved many achievements. That's because many Indonesian women have high value through kebaya.

"Our women do a lot of achievement because we have a lot of high value through kebaya," Nunun said.

On that occasion attended the Head of Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (BEKRAF) Triawan Munaf and a number of ambassadors from friendly countries.

Cinta Kebaya Nusantara event held to raise the love of kebaya, especially conserve kutu baru as a new type of kebaya because this type of kebaya shows the identity of Indonesian women and encourages creativity and becomes the nation's pride.

Later, Cinta Kebaya Nusantara will offer twelve women who have achievement and fashion show that presents several types of kebaya Nusantara.
